This six-and-a-half minute trumpet ensemble will keep your head spinning. Several groove, tempo shifts. Enough to challenge the best ensembles.

Composed in 2012, this 8-part trumpet ensemble was written for the Perimeter College Trumpet Ensemble and and premiered at the Trumpet Festival of the Southeast in Jan, 2013. This piece is 6 1/2 minutes long and changes gears several times. There is even a section with a hint of Baroque and features Trumpets 1 and 3 doubling on “A” piccolo. There is a funk section with solo changes for trumpets 2 and 8. Trumpets 6-8 double on flugel. Then there is a swing section before a return to the opening idea.
