Description

This work for ten trumpets was commissioned by the UCLA Trumpet
Ensemble (2005), an award winning group directed by Jens Lindemann,
Professor of Trumpet at UCLA.  This piece is a single-movement work that
explores a brief history of music.  Framed by a contemporary
style, the piece features sections that hint at Renaissance, Baroque,
Classical and Romantic, then ends with an up tempo jazz swing,
complete with a section for improvisation.
